Tristate roots, owner-run since 2011
Doug Reinhardt grew up in Greater Cincinnati and spent his early career running warehouse and freight logistics — loading docks, route planning, the unglamorous math of getting heavy things from one place to another without breaking them. What he kept seeing in the moving trade was the same trick: a low hourly teaser, then a bill that ballooned the second the stairs got steep or the truck got stuck on a one-way OTR block. So in 2011 he started Spartan Moving and Storage on a simple promise — quote the real number first, then honor it.
The people who run your move
We are eighteen strong, fourteen of them movers, and you meet the same names every season. Holly Schaefer handles scheduling, certificates of insurance, billing, and storage from the office. Brad Ziegler runs the daily truck board out of dispatch, matching crews and trucks to the day’s addresses and parking realities. On the ground, our crew chiefs lead: Tyrone Webb takes the piano and specialty work, Eli Hoffman runs the long-haul jobs out to Columbus, Nashville, and beyond, and Nick Sandoval is who you want on a row-house move where the staircase is older than the state highway system.
What licensed actually means here
We carry an Ohio PUCO household-goods license for moves inside the state and USDOT/MC authority for interstate work. We are not a broker and we are not an agent network. We do not match you with anyone, route your job to a stranger, or email you a list of “vetted carriers.” Spartan loads the truck, drives the truck, and unloads the truck — our crew, both ends, every time, carrying our own insurance.
Why crews stay
Most of our movers have been with us for years, which is the whole point. Experience is what reads a Mt. Adams hillside approach, protects a 1920s plaster wall in Hyde Park, and gets a sleeper sofa down an 1860s staircase without a scratch. New faces train alongside the veterans before they ever lead a job. When you book Spartan, you book people who have done your kind of Cincinnati move a hundred times.
Talk to a real person
No call center, no overseas queue. Reach our office and you get someone in Cincinnati who can actually answer for the crew, the truck, and the price.
